Appalachian Mountain Club 4000 Footers

Hiking has been an enjoyable part of my life since I was young. I have been hiking since I was a cub scout & have continued to do so into my adulthood. One of my favorite experience was hiking the White Mountain 4000 Footers with the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC). I finished the White Mountains list of 48 mountains in 2013 and have gone back to hike those mountains again over the years. My favorite three mountains would have to Mt. Washington, Mt. Layfayette (Franconia Ridge Loop), and Mt. Eisenhower. Anyone who has hiked Mt. Washington knows the summit is only half the battle, but that view is amazing. Mt. Layfayette & the Franconia Ridge Loop offer a view & walking path I think every New Hampshire resident or anyone passing through should experience. Finally, Mt. Eisenhower, during the late Spring or early Fall, offers phenomenal views of the natural New Hampshire foliage and woodland that truly make you forget about civilization.Â
