My Travel Throughout The World
I enjoy traveling, experiencing different cultures, and taking in what different perspectives the world has to offer. Recreationally, I have traveled to Spain, Bermuda, and Japan. Throughout my career, I have been to Germany, France, and China. The biggest takeaway I have learned is to take more pictures while traveling. Living in the moment while traveling is excellent, but showing your friends back home is good too.
Japan was my most recent travel destination, and my current favorite. Whether it was visiting the one and only Disney Sea, seeing the beauty of Hakone Gōra Park , taking a picture with the Hachiko Statue, or trying Tako Tamago at Nishiki Market, Japan offered a far different world view. When I visited Bermuda, it was part of a Norwegian Cruiselines cruise. I enjoyed the famous rum swizzle, swam at Horshoe Bay, visited their history military Garrision, and spent much of my day looking at the shops at the Royal Naval Dockyard. When I visited Spain, it was primarily spent in Barcelona. I visited the La Sagrada Familia church, viewed the sculptural buildings at Park Güell, and haggled with the locals at Mercado de La Boqueria.
My travels for work have been more limited stays, but I still got to enjoy the local culture of the Chinese in Shanghai and Qingdao while I was visiting a production pant there. A conference in Paris took up most of my days, but I made time for the Eiffel Tower. In Germany, I spent time in Munich and Berlin for a collaboration visit. In Munich, I made time to visit Marienplatz and in Berlin I visited the Berlin Wall Memorial. My travels, both recreationally and career-orientated, have helped shape my world view, and to appreciate the depth of differences and perspective other countries and cultures have to offer.
